ena and Joseph Oberreiter grew up in Flachau, spent years traveling and testing hotel beds around the world, then came home to take over Joseph's family hotel with a precise vision of what it should be. The loj is a small Alpine retreat built around good food, slow days, and guests who are there for both. Joseph cooks from the family farm, hunts his own game, and pulls vegetables and herbs from the garden; the four-course evening menu at seven's kitchen changes with whatever the land is producing. Children under 12 and party-seekers are politely redirected elsewhere.
