One of many hotels on the cape’s western side, My Beach Resort adds to this sense of quietude with crisp, clean-lined modern architecture, and an orientation that keeps the focus squarely on the beach and the waters of the Andaman Sea beyond.

The style in the rooms is a touch more traditional than the face My Beach Resort shows to the street and the sea; soft colors, organic textures, and Thai art make for an eminently palatable visual experience. The finest views, again, are those of the sea, though even the pool-facing balconies are more than pleasant; the Private Pool Beachfront rooms offer perhaps the most luxurious experience, with a plunge pool situated steps from the sand.

A poolside café serves everything from breakfast on through to dinner, and two bars, My Beach Bar and My Lounge, pour drinks with a similarly dramatic view on into the evening hours; the cuisine is focused on fresh seafood and traditional local flavors.
