The 19th-century facades and stone structures have been retained to pay homage to the hotel’s rich history, while the newly created suites, studios and rooms feature contemporary interiors take their design cues from the key elements that surround the hotel – water, wine, wood and industry. The subterranean spa has been inspired by Roman baths, and the stylish pool sits surrounded by curved archways and a tranquil lounge area. There’s also a gym and a treatment menu of massages and facials.
