Martinhal Lisbon Chiado Family Suites is just what it sounds like: a townhouse hotel in Lisbon’s Chiado district whose 37 suites are eminently well-suited to families traveling with children, right down to the Tintin artwork in the kids’ bedrooms.More materially useful to parents are things like the Martinhal’s well-equipped Kids Club and the hotel’s dedicated Baby Concierge — who is, we are relieved to report, a fully grown adult, responsible for handling all the various logistical headaches of traveling with an infant. And the apartments come in a variety of family-friendly layouts, from the cozy studios with their living-room bunk beds to the one-bedroom deluxes with separate sleeping areas for adults and kids. M Bar Family Café, naturally, leans rather more heavily on the “family café” than the “bar” end of things, though it does encompass both. And from here you’re well placed to take in the best that Lisbon has to offer, including some extraordinary restaurants and a famous food market just a few minutes away.
