This boutique hotel has just six rooms, all with sweeping water views through near-full-length windows. The minimalist look mixes traditional Japanese and modern Scandinavian elements — tatami mats, blonde wood platform beds, dark-tiled bathrooms with soaking tubs overlooking the ocean or the bay. Two rooms come with private terraces and saunas, and all guests have access to the hotel’s private spa and sauna by advance reservation — and to a unique dining experience combining locally sourced sushi with unobstructed views out to sea.
