The three-story villas’ extravagant interiors incorporate both French and Chinese influences, courtesy of designer Jaya Ibrahim, as well as the full complement of modern comforts, from Bose sound systems to Frédéric Malle bath amenities.An elaborately equipped spa is an integral part of the experience; this one offers a pool, salt room, sauna and steam room, flotation tanks and a range of treatments influenced by traditional Chinese medicine. No less essential is the restaurant, Le Comptoir de Pierre Gagnaire, the only restaurant in mainland China for the famed French chef. Nor is that the extent of the French influence — La Boulangerie is a classic Parisian-style bakery, and Le Bar maintains a European accent as well.
