That semi-organic, mixed-media treatment, a sculpturally abstracted lily pond, primes the eye for the guestrooms upstairs; this is no individually decorated boutiquelet at over 375 rooms, of course, but you won’t forget you’re in Berlin, either. Luxe bedding, soundproofed windows, and full-length drapes promise a sound night’s sleep, while the preponderance of houndstooth among a gunmetal-and-goldenrod palette give you something worthwhile to wake up to. Then a rainforest shower, then an in-room espresso while gazing out over the neighborhood’s eclectic rooftops. Talk about “good morning.”
