Make no mistake, this intimate little compound certainly is charming, but with these views, in this idyllic location, “sublime” might not be too strong a word.You’re just a few miles outside of Bariloche proper, but distant enough for it to feel like a proper wilderness escape. And privacy is the order of the day in the accommodations — at very least you’ll have a suite with a kitchenette, and possibly an apartment with a wood-burning stove or a residence with a full kitchen and dining room.
In fact maybe Comfortable Luxury Lodge would be closer to the mark. There’s a spa, if you’re up for a treatment, but the in-room amenities are scarcely less comfort-oriented. The most basic suites have underfloor heating and jacuzzis overlooking the lake, and everyone else gets luxe bathrooms with Finnish and Scottish showers — perhaps that last one goes more in the “bracing” column, but the focus is decidedly on physical wellness. And you’ll need it — whether you’re spending your days on the lake, in the hills, hiking or biking the local trails, or even on the ski slopes, you’ll want somewhere cozy to retire at day’s end.
