The all-suite De.light Boutique Hotel falls somewhere in between, close enough to the center of town that you can pop in for some shopping and dining, but far enough out that you won’t forget you’re on an arcadian island. To put it another way, you can still go to the party, but you won’t feel like you’ve been stuck in the position of weary host.The hotel is set above Agios Ioannis, a bay sheltered by the westernmost promontory of Mykonos, with just the sort of views such a location might suggest: plenty of polychrome blue, rocky cliffs rising from the water, hills dotted with whitewashed buildings, occasional sailboats, islands in the distance, and not much else.
The style of the hotel befits the setting; it’s classic Mykonos white and blue, with an emphasis on the white. Rooms are awash in natural light, and the sunniness is amplified by shining white tile floors, occasional pops of color in the décor, and a fastidious lack of clutter. Each suite has a separate sitting area or living room and a private verandah or balcony.
