But they didn’t skimp on style either — this place is stunningly decorated, ornately detailed, with a definite flair for the dramatic, from crimson-colored bedroom walls to the massive and decadent Romanesque spa.
There’s marble everywhere, and the traditional brickwork creates a signature texture. And the service is no less impressive than the physical edifice itself. If you want the illusion of a casual visit with a rich local friend, La Sultana’s not where you’ll find it. But if the classic virtues of opulence and luxury have any appeal, then this just might be the place.
