It’d be a shame, of course, to turn a country inn into a restaurant without finding a use for its bedrooms, which is where the boutique-hotel side of De Nederlanden comes in.In short, they’re much more than an add-on to the restaurant experience. The design is inspired by Japanese and Scandinavian varieties of minimalism, but crafted from Dutch fixtures and furnishings. Thus they’re impressively luxurious but far from ostentatious, and the setting offers privacy, tranquility, and exceedingly fine meals crafted from seasonal ingredients — all mere minutes from Amsterdam and not much farther from Rotterdam and The Hague.
