And while at this size it may not have space for certain grand-hotel facilities, the Splendide Royal’s service is cut from the same cloth as the palace hotels — as are the in-room comforts, from the junior suites on up to the 105-square meter family suites. Downstairs is Tosca, an upscale Mediterranean restaurant that’s also home to the cozy Loggia Bar, where guests sip drinks in front of the fireplace.
